I must express how grateful I am to have attended again this year. From the food, to the people to the carefully curated experiences I thoroughly enjoyed myself (and it was in D.C how could I not enjoy it)

I learned so much from the Black women I sat next to and broke bread with , I received all the love and wisdom and I walked away with my lightbulb sparked and my pen racing.

But yall , what ready got me was the opportunity I had to meet with 🥰 , when I say inspiration I was in awe and maybe shedded a tear or two 🤣 but Food Network is my peace and watching Black women cook from their souls while teaching us our history and culture, always felt like she was inviting me in her home through the TV teaching me about the geechee folks. Thank you 🙏🏿

I’m so terrible at taking photos yall , bc there was soooo much more I want to share … maybe yall will join next year
