Hind Rajab was murdered no matter what the media says. We must resist the passive descriptions that pundits at CNN use to describe the systematic murder of thousands. Because in the end if she was “found dead” it makes it sound as if it was an accident, but the systematic deprivation of the basic necessities of life from an entire population on the basis of their shared identity is Palestinians is the definition of racism, the practical result of a political ideology that elevates these Israeli Jewish identity above all others. The murder of a six-year-old girl, anywhere in the world is a tragedy, but for those reporting on Palestine, it is unremarkable. This numbing effect flows from a passive account of an active genocide, but, if the genocide is active, our reporting must also be active. Over 10,000 children have been killed, enough is enough.
