23 year old patient for endodontic treatment for tooth 13β€”you’d think no problems right?

Tooth 13 necrotic with chronic apical abscess. 2 canals that were wildddd🀯

Lateral canal on the buccal root. Crazy curve on lingual. A lot of 6 and 8 files died in the process πŸ˜‚

Tooth 19. Necrotic with Symptomatic Apical Periodontitis. Patient had been having pain with it for a few days, keeping him up at night. Single visit. πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Referral for tooth 15. Patient was asymptomatic. Deeper restorations placed a long time ago. Vital teeth 🚩

Referral to an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, biopsy performed.

Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumors (OKCs) exhibit aggressive behavior, with high recurrence. This review cites them as the most frequent non endodontic lesion that mimics endodontic pathology at 25.5%. They can occasionally cause loss of tooth vitality πŸ‘€. They are frequently misdiagnosed as an endodontic issue.
