What makes this film especially meaningful is that it was written and directed by Miles Levin, who lives with epilepsy and drew from his own experiences to create an authentic and powerful story. Through the journey of the film’s main character, Sam, audiences gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, resilience, and determination of individuals navigating life with epilepsy while pursuing their dreams and aspirations.

The film is a powerful reminder that awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to inclusion. By sharing real stories and lived experiences, Under the Lights helps break down stigma, encourages meaningful conversations, and fosters greater empathy for individuals and families affected by epilepsy.
