Flaws happen in bakeware, most often its bubbles in the glass and even more often they are caught by the quality control team and melted down and start over.

Occasionally debris will land in the molten glass as its cooling and be partially submerged in it as well. But to have a near complete staple FULLY submerged in the glass means it fell in roght after the glass was poured and sunk enough before or as the inside and outside was stamped into the product.

Yes, glass is an interest of mine. growing up with my mom as an artist I was exposed to so many different types of art and mediums. And yes. I've let the manufacturers know as this can not be used in the oven or standard microwaves. But had to share this lovely surprise.
