THE LION, THE EAGLE, AND THE FIRE
A Prophetic Reflection Concerning Apostle Jason A. Peepas
There are moments when heaven marks a man publicly. Not by titles given by institutions, and not by the applause of men, but by the witness of the Spirit of Yahweh and the signs that surround the assignment placed upon his life.
This image reflects a man standing between heaven and earth carrying a word that burns.
Behind him the sky is filled with fire and lightning. Throughout Scripture, Yahweh often reveals His presence through fire because fire purifies, exposes darkness, and establishes His holiness.
Deuteronomy 4:24
“For Yahweh your God is a consuming fire.”
The fire surrounding the scene represents the refining process that often precedes greater responsibility. Those who carry the word of Yahweh are first purified by it.
The Ethiopian Scriptures also remind us of this refining process:
Sirach 2:5
“For gold is tested in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity.”
The fire therefore does not represent destruction, but preparation.
The Roar of the Lion
Behind him stands the lion.
The lion in Scripture represents royal authority, courage, and fearless proclamation. When the lion roars, it symbolizes the moment when heaven has spoken and the prophetic voice must respond.
Amos 3:8
“The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Lord Yahweh has spoken—who can but prophesy?”
The lion represents the boldness required to confront darkness and to speak truth without compromise.
It also points toward the authority of the Messiah Himself.
Revelation 5:5
“Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed.”
The roar therefore represents courage and spiritual authority in proclamation.
The Vision of the Eagle
On the other side stands the eagle.
The eagle represents prophetic vision and spiritual elevation. Eagles do not flee storms; they rise above them.
Isaiah 40:31
“Those who wait upon Yahweh shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”
The eagle symbolizes the ability to see from heaven’s perspective. It represents discernment, spiritual watchfulness, and the capacity to guide others through difficult seasons.
The Watchman Standing in Fire
Standing at the place of proclamation represents the role of a watchman.
A watchman hears the voice of Yahweh and warns the people so that they may prepare.
Ezekiel 33:7
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear the word from My mouth and give them warning from Me.”
The lightning above symbolizes revelation—moments when heaven suddenly illuminates truth.
Jeremiah 1:9
“Then Yahweh put forth His hand and touched my mouth and said, ‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.’”
Covenant Alignment
The prayer covering across the shoulders symbolizes covenant remembrance and alignment with the commandments of Yahweh.
Numbers 15:39
“That you may remember all the commandments of Yahweh and do them.”
Authority without covenant becomes dangerous.
Authority under covenant releases blessing.
The Convergence
The imagery reveals three spiritual witnesses surrounding the calling:
The Lion — Authority and courage.
The Eagle — Vision and prophetic discernment.
The Fire — Purification and the presence of Yahweh.
When these three converge, Scripture shows the pattern of a watchman-prophet standing in the midst of heaven’s storm—hearing the voice of Yahweh and declaring it to the people.
