The company was originally started in 1981 by Henry Garland as a company that developed software for the IBM AS/400 mainframe. As the PC came along and Henry looked for ways to continue to support the AS/400, the company evolved to providing information security consulting services and did that through the early 2000s.

In 2003, Brad Garland came aboard with Henry after graduating from University of North Texas. Henry and Brad Garland refocused the company on the financial institution market. Starting with just five clients we expanded to over 100 clients in other industries.

In 2007, Brad Garland took on the role of CEO and began expanding into other states as well as creating other services offerings including software, compliance, and information cybersecurity service offerings.

In 2012, Brad created a new company, Virtual Compliance, to focus on supporting the compliance and security governance roles with an increase in focus on our consulting offerings. These companies expanded our reach to serve a need in the market for regulatory compliance assistance, expanded vendor management, and contract negotiations. All the companies missions are the same – to guides clients toward information safety and peace of mind.
