Real Estate Myth:
Success comes from personality.

It doesn’t.
I have seen highly charismatic people struggle.
And incredibly quiet, steady professionals absolutely thrive.
Why?
Because this business rewards consistency.
The agents who succeed are often the ones willing to keep showing up long before the results feel obvious.
The people willing to follow up, build relationships, stay disciplined.
Hard workers who remain patient, and who keep learning.

Talent helps, but consistency allows you to win.

If you are considering real estate, remember this:
You do not have to be the loudest person in the room.
You just have to stay in the room long enough to build momentum.

The beauty of real estate, I’ve noticed, is that:
Growth is not tied to office politics.

And this is especially true for some of the women I met in real estate.

I have watched incredible women completely transform their lives in this career,
and it remains one of my favorite things about this business.
Many of these women left corporate environments after feeling overlooked, underestimated, or stuck beneath invisible ceilings.
Highly capable, and highly driven performers.
Yet still felt highly limited.

I have seen these women become top producers, team leaders, brokerage owners, investors, and entrepreneurs.
And all they had to do was apply the same things they’ve been doing, but this time, without any of the limitations they’ve faced before.

And isn’t that such a beautiful thing?

One of the biggest reasons people become interested in real estate:
Burnout.

And I completely understand why.

I’ve talked with countless professionals who feel exhausted, overlooked, stuck, or disconnected from the work they once cared about.
But burnout can create dangerous decision making, because sometimes we mistake relief for alignment.
Wanting to leave something difficult does not automatically mean you’ve found the right next chapter.

That is why I always ask:
Are you running toward something meaningful? Or away from discomfort?

Real estate can absolutely change your life, yes.
But it should be a decision rooted in intention, not exhaustion.
