About the Job

We are hiring a Business Analyst to join our project team. You will work alongside other business
analysts and report directly to the project manager. Your main tasks will include performing detailed
requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To
succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain
difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Job Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to
provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate
influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business
data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business
needs and required or available data elements. Collaborates with clients to modify or tailor existing
analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. May participate in management reviews, including
presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course
of action. This is a general role in which employees work with multiple types

Your role & responsibilities in our mission

● Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects and nurture
newer team members by providing guidance and support
● Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define,
document and share business requirements and expected impact
● Work with the client to develop business specs at the start of a technical project
● Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes
to support client’s technology goals
● Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results

What we're looking for

● 6+ years of relevant Information Technology experience in a Business Analyst role
● Strong client communication skills translating client needs to actionable objectives; and
analytical and business process re-engineering experience
● Experience using analytical software (Microsoft Excel or SQL), and other requirement-
mapping tools (ALM, Application Lifecycle Management) tools
● Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as application development,
configuration, and batch processing
● Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
● The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable
solutions.
● Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
● Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
● Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
● A track record of following through on commitments.
● Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
