What's worse, is people tend to take it personally when you point out that they've been lied to. They react like you just called Them the liars! Why do people react like they've been attacked simply because they mistakenly believe a lie? They don't just leave it at that, though; sometimes, they actively defend and fight for the lie that they Know is a lie simply so they don't have to admit that they believed a lie. It's maddening!
