Words, words, words, and LOTS of music.

Today was an absolute delight. We went as a cast to the Motown Museum, which is the original spot all your favorite Motown records were produced.

Seriously, the last time I had the feeling of "history was made here" was the first time I went to Rome.

I got goosebumps walking into studio A, seeing the original instruments and mixing board.

Seeing the analog equivalents of the digital plug-ins we use in recording music today (like a reverb chamber built into the ceiling) was so cool.

And our performance was attended by Martha Reeves of Martha and the Vandellas, who sang the Motown classic "Dancin in the Streets."

The candy machine where "Little Stevie Wonder" would spend a dime on a Baby Ruth bar is still there. I didn't have a dime, so I left a guitar pick.

Also, MJ's glove is there because he donated it.

Seeing rock and roll history, playing rock and roll history, meeting rock and roll history...? It made me the happiest of campers.

Durham, NC is a city built by to***co money, kept going by Duke University (formerly Trinity college until a to***co billionaire named it after himself) and it's strangely linked to bulls for reasons that weren't apparent, and I'm not willing to Google. Still, it was a charming little town with expensive food and good crowds. The DPAC has the coolest wall tags of any theater I've seen.

I love signing a cool wall tag.
