🌍 A Journey of Gratitude: Some leaders build classrooms. Others rebuild what it means to teach in them. 💡
Meet Jyoti Thyagarajan, Founder and Executive Trustee of Meghshala Trust and a 2018 Gratitude Network Fellow. 🌟
Jyoti saw a gap that too many students and teachers were living inside of every day, classrooms without the tools to make learning come alive. That gap didn’t discourage her; it became her mission. It taught her that transforming education doesn’t start with more resources; it starts with empowering the teachers already in the room.
Today she leads Meghshala Trust, an organization built on a simple but powerful belief: teachers working for teachers can change the future of a classroom. Megashala’s e-lessons, equip educators with ready-to-use, engaging content designed to make a difference for students and teachers alike.
Since her Fellowship, Jyoti has helped Meghshala grow in remarkable ways, reaching 8 states, 3,000 schools, and 11,000 teachers across India, with 9,000 lessons now available in English and vernacular languages.
Her leadership reminds us that transforming education doesn’t start with having every answer. It starts with trusting teachers to lead.

📚 Meet our Literacy 2026 Fellows — three leaders who believe a confident reader and writer is a young person with a voice.
🌍 Beth Fertig, Executive Director, Press Pass NYC, amplifying student voices and civic engagement by building strong, sustainable student news publications that serve the whole school community with accurate, meaningful journalism in New York City, USA.
🌍 Suma Karaman Rosen, Executive Director, InsideOut Literary Arts. Through creative writing, InsideOut inspires and equips young people in Detroit, Michigan, USA to think critically, create bravely, and share their voices with the world.
🌍 Rosalin Abigail Kyere-Nartey, Founder & Executive Director, Africa Dyslexia Organisation, empowering dyslexics in Ghana to become productive citizens whilst avoiding their marginalization in the formal education sector and labour market.

🔬 Meet our STEM / Technology Education 2026 Fellows
— three leaders opening the door to science through very different rooms: a mobile lab, a coding classroom, and the open-air garden.
🌍 Jelena Likić, President, Association Bioteka, provides high-quality STEM and sustainability education that builds real-life, job-ready skills for children and youth across Croatia, with a focus on girls, underserved communities, and gifted learners.
🌍 Irfan Lalani, Founder & CEO, Code to Enhance Learning Trust, envisions that Indian children use technology to thrive in the current innovative world. They are on a mission to empower government schools to impart quality technology education.
🌍 Lauren Maples, Founder & Executive Director, PEAS – Partners for Education, Agriculture and Sustainability, cultivates joyful connections with the natural world through outdoor learning and edible education in Austin, Texas, USA!
What unites them? Three different classrooms — a van full of microscopes, a computer lab, and a school garden — all built on the same belief: science is for every child, especially the ones the system tends to overlook.

🌍 A Journey of Gratitude: Some leaders find their voice. Others spend a lifetime helping others find theirs.💡
Meet Christine O’Connell, Executive Director of Riley’s Way and a 2023 Gratitude Network Fellow. 🌟
Christine learned early on what it felt like to not have a voice. That experience didn’t discourage her, it became her compass. It taught her how to advocate for herself, and ultimately, how to spend her career advocating for others.
Today she leads Riley’s Way, an organization built on a simple but powerful belief: young people don’t need to wait for adulthood to lead with kindness. Its flagship program, Call For Kindness, is a year-long fellowship that invites high school and college students to launch a new idea — or grow an existing one — to make their community better.
Since becoming a Gratitude Network Fellow, Christine has helped Riley’s Way grow in remarkable ways from employee expansion to increases in students empowered thorugh the Call For Kindness.
Her leadership reminds us that advocacy doesn’t start with having all the answers. It starts with refusing to let anyone else feel unheard.

🌱 Meet the inaugural cohort of the Catalyst Leadership Program! 🌱
We are so proud to introduce the 5 exceptional nonprofit leaders launching our very first cohort!
We kept meeting leaders who were hungry to grow — so we built a place for them.
Catalyst Leadership is a focused, 6-month experience built around exactly what nonprofit leaders tell us they need most: a trusted executive coach in their corner, a tight-knit peer community to learn and problem-solve with, and practical leadership tools they can put to work right away. đź’ˇ This new program allows Gratitude Network to serve more leaders and provide them with an ecosystem to ensure they never walk alone in their work.
Over the next six months, this cohort will dig into the real challenges of nonprofit leadership — from empowering their teams to building sustainability and planning for what’s next — growing together every step of the way. 💫

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this program to life — the coaches who said yes and the leaders who took a chance on something brand new. This first cohort wouldn’t exist without you. 🙏
