Broomstick Pool Tournament!
Pomeroy's Saint Patrick's Day tradition, Broomstick Pool, is almost here again! This year's tournament will be March 20th and 21st. Any team that lost their first two games, changing partners, or new teams wanting to participate need to qualify on Friday night. Qualifying begins around 6:00 PM, Friday, March 20th. All teams need to register, even if you are qualified. To register, please use this link to go to the Pomeroy Spinners new website and there will be a link to register on the main page:
https://www.pomeroyspinners.com
Doors will open Friday around 5:00 PM and Saturday at 11:00 AM. Spinners will be serving beverages and food items at Maple Hall both Friday and Saturday night. Food items for 2026 are hamburgers, cheeseburgers, nacho's and pulled pork sandwiches AND don't forget the peanuts! Shells on the floor is part of the tradition!
Saturday's festivities will begin at noon. All teams making it into Saturday's round need to be at the hall for announcements, paying entry fees, etc. by noon. Everyone will play 1 game before anybody plays their second. If you haven’t already, sign up to qualify or confirm your spot in Saturday’s competition. I have attached a list of qualified teams from two years ago.
If you've never been to Broomstick at Maple Hall, mark your calendars! Come down for a meal, socialize, see people you haven't seen in years, and observe! It's a great event, keeping a Pomeroy tradition alive, and supporting a great organization. Many travel a great distance to partake annually. Come join us for a GREAT weekend.
Last but certainly not least, use this link to purchase the first annual commemorative broomstick shirt! These shirts will be available for pickup on SATURDAY ONLY. Purchase the shirt online and it will be there when you get to Maple Hall!
