September was one of the hardest months for me in a long time. Losing my granny, who’d been there for me in every way since my wonderful parents gave me life, hurt in a way that’s difficult to describe. We went through a lot together, and she helped mold me into who I am today. We laughed together, and we cried a whole lot, too. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t cross my mind in some way. These photos of my family are proof that even on her way to the great beyond she could bring us all together again. This song was the first song I sang to her as a child and was a source of joy for us, and along with black coffee, George Carlin and playin’ cards and so much more, are ways that our bond together in life continues through me. Last year we got a kitten and named him Sundae. Here he was in his smallest form, playing in the glow of our and watching his first rain ever.
