for a while i stepped away from freelance photography and worked in tv news as a videographer/director.

news teaches you something quickly: you often show up on people’s worst days. fires, shootings, loss and so many moments no one ever expected to live through.

so when i came back to photography, something felt different. i realized how sacred the moments i get to capture really are: weddings, engagements, families, the quiet joy of everyday life.

after spending time documenting some of life’s hardest moments, it feels like a privilege to now document the beautiful ones.

and i carry that perspective with me every time i pick up my camera, so thank you for giving me the opportunity to live the dream my heart has carried for a long, long time 🤍
