This morning's showers have passed! We're getting ready to open the Lighthouse at 10am!

Weather permitting, the Lighthouse is open daily, (Summer Hours), 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission: Adults $5; 55+ $4; 5-12 yrs. $3; Military/Vets $2.50. Visitor Center is open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Port Isabel Lighthouse is a Texas Historical Commission State Historic Site.

America250 Celebration starts TODAY (7/2) at the Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site & the Port Isabel Historical Museum! Activities start at 9:30am. Fireworks: 9:15pm. Movie ("National Treasure"): 9:30pm.

Thursday, July 2:
"Writing with Water": join a Lighthouse Keeper this Thursday (July 2) from 9:30am – 5:00pm at the Visitor Center for a FREE drop-in activity, "Writing with Water"! Inspired by this week’s movie National Treasure and the signing of the Declaration of Independence, use water to practice signing your name before making your mark on the group visitor wall and wishing America a Happy 250th Birthday!

Pinwheels: inspired by the ways Lighthouse Keepers monitored and recorded wind, join a Lighthouse Keeper in the park from 1:30pm – 8:00pm to create your own pinwheel as part of our FREE America 250 drop-in programs. (Until supplies are exhausted.)

Chalk Fish + Signatures: join us at the Port Isabel Historical Museum from 10:00am – 4:00pm for a FREE drop-in activity where you can use chalk to recreate some of the fish from the fish mural, then add your signature to the group visitor wall to wish America a Happy 250th Birthday!
