Our Cameron County Constable Precinct 1 Deputies were honored to be invited to the Liberty at Sunrise: A Sunflower Field 5K this morning. 🌻🇺🇸

Our deputies are on-site helping ensure the event is safe and runs smoothly for all participants, volunteers, and spectators. We wish everyone the best of luck and hope you enjoy a great morning of fitness, community, and patriotism.

I want to congratulate a great friend, an outstanding lawman, and an incredible public servant, Chief
Robert Lopez, on an amazing career.

For more than 41 years, Chief Lopez served and protected our community with honor, integrity, and professionalism. He also proudly served as the elected Cameron County Constable for Precinct 4, completing two four-year terms (2005-2012).

Chief Lopez has been more than a colleague, he has been a mentor, a trusted friend, and someone I could turn to for guidance. His leadership and support have had a lasting impact on my life, and I am truly grateful. And of course, we always enjoyed our many conversations about politics and current events those talks were something special!

Chief Robert Lopez, thank you for your decades of service. You have left a legacy that will not be forgotten. God bless you, Chief. I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished. Congratulations on your well-earned retirement. I’m always here for you, my friend.
