Suds Up Carpet Cleaning

Here's some carpet we cleaned today in Port Richey!

One thing you'll notice in the photos is that while the carpet cleaned up beautifully, some of the furniture dents are still visible. We get asked about this all the time.

Those dents aren't dirt—they're areas where the carpet fibers have been crushed from the weight of furniture sitting in the same spot for many years. Professional carpet cleaning removes soil and contaminants, but it can't always reverse years of compression and wear.

If you'd like to help reduce furniture dents, here are a few things you can try:

✔ Place an ice cube in the dent and let it slowly melt into the carpet fibers.
✔ Gently fluff the fibers with a spoon, coin, or your fingers.
✔ Vacuum the area after the fibers have dried.
✔ Move furniture occasionally to prevent permanent crushing.

This particular carpet had not been professionally cleaned in many, many years, and the furniture had remained in the same location for a very long time. Even so, we were able to remove a tremendous amount of soil and bring the carpet back to life!

🌎 Did You Feel It? 🌎

A rare 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck in the Gulf near Cuba around 2:00 PM today, making it one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded in our region.

For comparison, the strongest modern earthquake previously recorded in the North/East Gulf was a magnitude 5.8–6.0 event in 2006 that was felt throughout much of Florida. Today's quake appears to be the strongest recorded in our vicinity.

The good news? ✅

There is no tsunami threat for Florida.

😅🎨 Here's a helpful tip...

If you're going to spray paint the legs of a table, it's usually a good idea to move the table off the carpet first.

Because while the table legs may end up looking fantastic, your carpet might suddenly become part of the project too. 🤦‍♂️

Spray paint has an amazing ability to travel farther than expected and land exactly where you didn't want it.

Unfortunately, paint is often permanent, which means your carpet may end up with a new "custom design" that nobody asked for. 😂
