Meet Luna, the newest arrival here at Renegade Rex K9 Ranch! Luna is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd, Husky, and Australian Cattle Dog mix (Embark tested). She originally hails from New Mexico and is a fantastic, highly loyal dog who just needs the right environment to thrive.
Luna came to us today as a personal surrender. She was starting to show dominant behavior toward her previous family’s three small dogs (two French Bulldogs and a Chihuahua). While she never hurt any of them, the family made the smart, proactive decision not to take any chances. We always commend owners for putting safety first.
Because of her natural prey drive, Luna will need a home without small dogs or cats. However, she is absolutely fine with dogs her own size! She’s already been outside with our pack today and hasn't had a single issue. She is a bit shy right now, but as she settles in and gets comfortable, we know she’ll start playing and socializing even more. Give her a little time, and she will be an incredibly loving companion.
While Luna's previous family noted she is good with kids, please remember our standard safety policy: due to the breed dominance, drive, and behavioral histories of the working dogs we rehabilitate, we do not place our dogs in homes with children under 14 years old.
Adoption Requirements for Luna:
No Small Pets: Due to her prey drive and history, she requires a home without small dogs or cats.
Age Restriction: No children under 14 in the home.
Location: We do not ship dogs out of state. Adopters must be willing to travel to Port Saint Lucie, FL, for a mandatory in-person meet-and-greet.
Clearance: All applicants must pass our standard background check system.
Commitment: High-drive dogs require immediate, long-term stability.
Note: All adoption fees go directly toward our non-profit operational necessities, including veterinary exams, neutering, and food costs.

Juanito is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois who traveled all the way from California to get a real second chance at life. Like so many high-drive working breeds, he just found himself in the wrong environment without the right structure.
Juanito is an absolutely fantastic dog. He is incredibly loving, deeply loyal, and friendly. He needs an advocate who understands breed-appropriate boundaries, neutrality training, and clear engagement. Once he knows you have his back, his goofy, affectionate side completely takes over.
📋 What Juanito Needs in a Forever Home:
Experienced Handler: Absolute requirement for handlers with specific, verifiable experience raising or training working breeds (Malinois or German Shepherds).
Secure Yard: A home with a physically fenced-in yard to give him the space he needs to burn off that signature Malinois energy.
Structure & Engagement: Someone committed to an engagement-based lifestyle where playing and clear communication are part of daily training.
In-Person Meeting: We do not ship our dogs—adopters must be willing to meet him in person for a proper handoff and evaluation.
