Everyone has anxiety. Anxiety can sometimes get really loud in our heads. It’s really important to know how to quiet it down so that it doesn’t take over. When the anxiety is too loud it gets very uncomfortable and distracts us. Imagine a bouncy ball. It will only bounce if we make it bounce. The same thing with our anxiety. It will only get louder if we allow it to. We have to catch the ball, just like we have to catch our feelings of anxiety, in order to quiet it down. It’s important to sit with your anxiety and feel it. Because just like with a bouncy ball, it will eventually stop bouncing and your anxiety will eventually calm down.
