Social media should be fun and feel authentic because forced content is ✨not the vibe✨. If it feels like a chore, it’s probably time to switch things up. The best content comes from actually enjoying the process, sharing moments that feel real, not just ticking off a to-do list.

Think less 'what should I post?' and more 'what would I actually stop and watch?' That’s where the magic happens.

If your brand’s social could use a little more ease (and a lot more personality), we’ve got you. Let’s make it fun again. 🤝

I was recently asked to do a social media audit for a brand, which is always the first step in building a solid strategy. But it got me thinking... how many businesses that DIY their social media actually know what to look for when doing an audit?

A social media audit isn’t just about checking follower counts or seeing which posts got the most likes. It’s about taking a step back to really understand what’s working, what’s not, and where there’s room to improve.

Here are a few key things to look for when auditing your own page:

✅ Brand Consistency – Does your content feel cohesive? Are your visuals, captions, and messaging aligned?
✅ Content Performance – What types of posts are actually resonating with your audience? What’s getting ignored?
✅ Audience Insights – Are you attracting and engaging the right people?
✅ Engagement & Growth Trends – Is your page growing, or has it hit a plateau?
✅ Content Pillars – Do you have 3-5 core themes that guide your content? A strong strategy includes a mix of educational, entertaining, and promotional content that keeps your audience engaged while reinforcing your brand.

👉 A good audit can give you so much clarity on what to focus on moving forward. If you’ve never done one (or aren’t sure where to start), let’s chat! I’d be happy to take a look and help you figure out what’s working—and what could be working better.

Yesterday, I shared a bit of a hot take about finding people on Upwork. But here’s the truth—I actually use Upwork a lot as a freelancer.

Like any platform, there are positives and negatives.

The positive?
Upwork is a goldmine for finding talented individuals. But here's the catch: You really have to put in the work to sift through all the noise, spammers, and low-quality proposals. When you do find the right person, though, it can be a game-changer.

The negative?
There are also plenty of people who claim to have a certain skill set, but in reality, they're relying heavily on AI tools to get the job done or slapping your logo on stock photos. This can cause all sorts of problems, from mismatched expectations to poor-quality work. And for agencies or businesses looking to outsource, that means you might end up paying for subpar results.

The key is to do your homework, be selective, and find the right fit. It’s a process, but it’s worth it when you get it right.

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of creating posts and sharing your latest content, but at the end of the day, you want to make sure you’re seeing results. So how do you know if your social media game is on point? It’s all about measuring the right things!

Here’s a quick guide to figuring out if your social media efforts are paying off:

Engagement: Likes, comments, shares, if people are interacting with your content, you’re definitely on the right track. Engagement is a sign that your content is sparking something in your audience.

Reach & Impressions: Reach tells you how many unique people saw your post, and impressions tell you how many times it showed up.

Website Traffic: If you’re getting clicks that drive people to your website, that’s a big win! It means your content is making people take action.

Conversions: The real proof in the pudding. Whether it’s a sale, a sign-up, or a download, conversions are where you see if your content is actually driving the results you want.

Follower Growth: If your followers are steadily increasing, it means people are digging your content and want to see more. Keep it going!

So, next time you’re wondering if your social media efforts are paying off, check in on these numbers. And remember, it’s all about tracking progress, not perfection and it's okay to pivot.
