to L483 visiting with at PP&R Multnomah Arts Center, at PBOT Kerby Yard, & community at the Labor ICE OUT rally, and at PBOT Kerby Yard. It’s been a busy year so far.

From theater to pottery, metalworking, dance, and more, the Multnomah Arts Center is a place where art, culture, and community come together.

During my visit, I had the chance to see a loom weaving class in action. The group calls themselves “Fiber Friends,” and I loved hearing that time spent on the looms is a highlight of their week.

MAC is also home to the Front and Center Art Galleries. Latoya Lovely’s work immediately stood out, with hair literally extending off the canvas and into the gallery space.

Thank you to LiUNA Local 483 for the tour and thank you to the entire team for the work you do every day to keep the Multnomah Arts Center running.

L483 has endorsed this rally and March along with so many from the Oregon labor community. L483 members will meet at the park at 2:30pm with a banner or flag and some snacks. Please wear union gear and bring a friend. Thanks to all the folks putting in the work for this Saturday.
