& JULIET - When power, race and jealousy collide, rivalries can become vicious …. Performances May 13 to May 16. Reserve your free ticket now at https://zoomtheatre.com/index.php/shows/juliet
When Charlie Vaughn – a White Broadway director trying to escape rumors about his last production – comes to a small conservative college campus to stage a production of Romeo & Juliet, he announces he will cast a fourteen year-old boy in the role of Juliet. This challenges the “old school” sensibilities of the campus community and upsets the expectations of Annie Rice, an ambitious, young Black actress who feels she deserves the role. Turning to his new colleague Dr. Hughes – a thirty-year veteran of the drama department – for advice, Vaughn discovers that Annie might not be the only one out to bring an end to his career.

Is it enough just to be “working on your sh*t?” In SENSITIVE GUYS at Zoom Theatre, five female and non-binary performers inhabit both male and female roles in this comic social satire about complicity, masculinity and violence in America. In the safe spaces of a small liberal arts college, the student-led Men’s Peer Education Group and women’s Survivor Support Group work together on an ambitious plan to eradicate all sexual violence everywhere in just five years. They've got it all together -- until an incident throws their ideals into question. Can even sensitive guys be violent and aggressive?
