Dumpster Day: A community clean up and recycling event!
For more details visit: roseway.org/dumpster-day
When: June 27, at 9am-3pm
Where: Glenhaven Park parking lot (corner of NE 82nd and Siskiyou)

We are seeking volunteers for this event. Volunteers play a valuable role in our team! Come meet your community and help your neighbors. Volunteer roles include: Greeters, "FREE Shop" Organizers, Bulky Waste Collectors, Runners (transporting smaller items to the correct location), Exit and Traffic Directors, and more!

Snacks and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers, as well as Subway sandwiches for lunch. Volunteers participating for at least 1 shift can bring one donation-free load and of course have access to our “free pop-up shop”. Volunteers can earn community service credit with participation in this event. Volunteers in high school age 14-17 can participate with signed waiver by a parent or guardian.

Volunteer shifts: 8:30-11, 10:30-1:30, 1-3:30 but we especially need volunteers during the afternoon 1-3:30 shift. Volunteers could sign up for one or more shifts, or come for any part of the event that works. Any and all time volunteered is deeply appreciated.

From Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry:
----
Our new Tree Care Assistance program provides income-qualified property owners within the City of Portland with financial assistance for the maintenance and care of existing trees on single-family, owner-occupied private property. The program helps reduce the cost and burden associated with tree care for lower-income households and improves the health and resilience of private property trees.

Tree care offered includes a tree health assessment, pruning, removal, stump removal, and wood waste removal. The Tree Care Assistance Program is funded by the Portland Clean Energy Fund.

Do I qualify for tree care assistance? To qualify, you must:

* Own and live in a single-family home
* Need care for a tree on your private property (not a street tree)
* Be enrolled in the Portland Water Bureau's Bill Discount Program

Visit https://www.portland.gov/trees/apply-tree-care-assistance for more information.
