Geoweb Used on Landslide Slope Repair Project

Presto’s Geoweb was installed over jute netting to repair this slope from the aftermath of a landslide. The jute netting is a natural, biodegradable erosion control BMP and is installed to provide erosion control at this slope repair project. This temporary jute netting keeps soil from wearing down and washing off the slope, aiding vegetation regrowth. The Geoweb also stimulates vegetation growth and is a long-term erosion control solution. Geoweb prevents erosion by confining the infill in its cellular structure, making it resistant to sheet flow and preventing scour on slope surfaces.

This combination of products will lock dirt in place on the slope to prevent further damage and will assist with erosion control and vegetation growth to avoid the potential for future landslides.

Flexamat Installation for Channel Erosion Control

Flexamat is a vegetated concrete block mat utilized here to stabilize a channel and slopes. This solution will handle the high-flow water runoff and prevent erosion of the channel and surrounding area. It consists of concrete blocks locked together and embedded into a high-strength geogrid with a turf reinforcement mat underlayment-all in one. The 1.5in spacing between the blocks gives the mat flexibility and allows vegetation to grow through and eventually cover the Flexamat. Progression pictures show the initial green vegetation growth.

Concrete Canvas CC8 is installed here under a fence line for vegetation and w**d control to keep vegetation down, preventing the need to w**d whack the area. Concrete Canvas (CC) is a flexible, concrete filled geosynthetic which provides a thin and durable concrete layer when hydrated. CC, created specifically for erosion control and containment, has a wide range of applications including channel lining, slope protection, bund lining, remediation and w**d suppression.
