1- Open a separate business checking account, and only run business expenses through it. Do not purchase personal items from you business account.

2- Keep documentation of everything! It will help a CPA or bookkeeper find more tax breaks for you and help you prove write offs if they are ever questions by a tax preparer or auditor.

3- Track and Categorize all expenses. It’s hard to go back and remember what the Amazon purchase was for so categorize it as soon as you spend the money!
