Learning process over product. As an artist/maker my practice has primarily been outcome (product) oriented for me - unless I’m teaching, but generally beginning with a goal in mind and knowing what I want the finished piece to look like, I’ve been enjoying process more and learning how valuable my process is to me. I am so grateful for my sweet smootch Raleigh - his presence lights up my life!

Sometimes there are no more powerful words than
“ I forgive you “, may your heart, mind, and body know the sweet relief of sorrow and grief through forgiveness this season. Blessed we truly are.

Work in progress complete, and I am completely thrilled to be sharing it with you. These colors are emanating directly from my heart and transcends the heat of the season and the humidity of my studio and mesmerizes me.
🙌🏼 Id mentioned this before in my work in progress post: “as I’m working away in the studio on this piece, I am struck by how just like my humanness and unintentionally I sometimes color outside of the lines, or overstep the boundaries I set for myself ~ life is ever fluid and this is such a simple yet poignant reminder that it’s okay. I’m human, I’m not a Saint, but I’m still pretty cool. 🎨🖌️” .
💗✨🤲🏼✨🌊 Now, as I’ve finished it, I feel some deep gratitude for the movement and capability of my body, my stamina, and the outcome. Palpable Pulp and Lasting Impressions continues to move and inspire me.

Issue 35 of KHORA is out and with it a featured piece of mine, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. My series Palpable Pulp and Lasting Impressions is well documented in the photographs chosen. I feel overjoyed to have been invited into this space and share in work beside these many talented writers, storytellers, and artists.
