SPOTLIGHT: MAJ Nicholas Dockery, a having served with The 7th Special Forces Group, was recognized as Military Times’ 2022 Soldier of the Year during an award ceremony in Washington D.C., July 12.
For heroic actions during conflict in Afghanistan, Dockery earned two Silver Star and two Purple Heart medals. He is the only U.S. Army officer to have earned two post-9/11 Silver Stars.
Dockery emphasizes the value and importance of and camaraderie.
