New s*xual abuse lawsuits filed against 3 former Oregon youth prison staff Separately, at least the fifth suit was filed against now-deceased Dr. Edward G. Edwards, alleging the former medical doctor at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility abused boys in custody. That brings the total number of plaintiffs to 51 and damage claims to more than $250 million.

STAYTON, OR – FORMER REGIS ST. MARY CATHOLIC SCHOOL VICE PRINCIPAL ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF STUDENT. Christopher Seibert (56), former Regis vice principal, has been arrested on charges of s*xual abuse of a student. Seibert is charged with s*xually abusing a female student who was under 14 years old at the time. At least some of the abuse occurred on the Regis St. Mary’s campus, according to law enforcement.

Seibert has been an educator for more than 30 years at numerous other schools, including St. Joseph Catholic School in Salem. Police have indicated a concern about the likelihood of other victims, based on Seibert's many other past roles as an educator and extensive access to minors.
