At 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 in Newry, Wight Brook tumbles nearly **250 feet** over a series of broad granite ledges, creating what looks like a giant natural staircase carved into the mountainside.

Instead of one dramatic drop, the water flows from pool to pool, making every turn of the trail reveal another beautiful cascade.

💡 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: The walk to Step Falls takes only about **20 minutes**, making it one of Western Maine's most rewarding short hikes. Along the way, well-marked trails lead through the forest before opening to the falls.

On warm summer days, many visitors dip their feet—or carefully wade into the shallow pools—to cool off while listening to the rushing water. In spring, snowmelt transforms the falls into a roaring cascade, while autumn surrounds the preserve with brilliant foliage.

Whether you're chasing waterfalls, looking for a family-friendly hike, or simply searching for a peaceful place to relax in nature, Step Falls is one of those spots that feels much bigger than the effort it takes to reach.

💦 Would you rather swim beneath a waterfall or simply sit nearby and enjoy the sound of rushing water? 🌲

🕊️🌊 St. Ann’s Episcopal Church | Kennebunkport, Maine

Perched above the Gulf of Maine on Ocean Avenue, St. Ann’s Episcopal Church is one of Kennebunkport’s most beloved and photographed landmarks—but its story is even more interesting than the view. The stone summer chapel was consecrated in 1892 and has been in continuous use ever since, making it one of the historic summer chapels in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine.

You’ll find two beautiful worship spaces here: the classic Stone Chapel built of local sea‑washed stones and the Seaside Chapel, which sits right on the ocean’s edge. Both offer peaceful architecture, stunning water views, and a quiet spot to reflect.

The church also includes a rectory that began life as a private summer home before being purchased by the parish in 1970, adding even more layers to its rich history.

Visitors are welcome to attend services, enjoy the grounds, or simply soak up the beauty and tranquility of this seaside gem—sometimes the most memorable stops aren’t beaches or shops, but places with quiet charm and deep roots.

🍕 Some restaurants have pages of menu options.

𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗕𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 has spent more than 60 years proving you don't need them.

This Biddeford institution has built a loyal following by doing one thing exceptionally well: classic **10-inch Greek-style bar pizzas** that have locals coming back generation after generation.

💡 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: Unlike most pizzerias, Pizza By Alex uses **cheddar cheese** instead of mozzarella, giving every pie its signature rich, tangy flavor that's become a Southern Maine tradition.

The menu is refreshingly simple. Favorites like **Alex's Special** and **Yaya's Greek** are loaded with fresh toppings, homemade sauce, and baked into the crispy, golden crust that has made this little pizza shop legendary.

No trendy gimmicks.
No oversized slices.
No complicated menu.

Just great pizza, a cozy hometown atmosphere, and a recipe that's stood the test of time.

If you're exploring Biddeford, this is one stop that belongs on your must-eat list.

🍕 Are you team cheddar on pizza... or do you have to stick with mozzarella?
