Cheesy Steak & Chimichurri Bread

Ingredients:
• 1 loaf of crusty bread (like French bread or ciabatta)
• 1 lb thinly sliced steak (e.g., sirloin, ribeye)
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

• For the Chimichurri:
◦ 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
◦ 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional) ◦ 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
◦ 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
◦ 1/2 cup olive oil
◦ 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste) ◦ Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Make the Chimichurri: In a bowl, combine all chimichurri ingredients. Mix well and let it sit for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
2. Cook the Steak: Season the thinly sliced steak with salt and pepper. Sear quickly in a hot pan with a little oil until cooked to your liking. Set aside.
3. Assemble the Bread: Slice the bread lengthwise and hollow out a bit of the inside if it's too dense. Layer the cooked steak on the bottom half of the bread.
4. Add Cheese & Bake: Top the steak generously with shredded cheese. Spoon a good amount of the chimichurri over the cheese. Place the bread in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is toasted. 5. Serve: Slice and enjoy immediately!
