Thank you so much to those who’ve pre-ordered a bottle or two of the 2nd Kitchen Sink fermented hot sauce!

This one’s gonna be HOT!!! Here’s what’s in it so far: yellow 7 pots, Thor’s thunderbolt, Khang stargazer, scotch bonnet, goat horn, golden primotalli, orange bubblegum, Jay’s peach ghost, 7 pot bubblegum, yellow maga, datil, lemon drop, blood ghost, hallows eve, Orion hellboy, yellow Italian, red jalapeño, sugar rush peach, a bunch of mixed chocolate super hots and unknown crossbreeds, and figs. I will probably add a citrus preserve that’s been going since 2018, some fermented garlic, and vinegar when it gets blended down into the sauce.

There’s plenty more available for you to pre-order off the website (link in profile / www.thegoodpicklepdx.com) for $20/bottle. They will be ready for pick up the last week of this month, just in time to scare the s**t out of people for Halloween!

Again, this is a fund raising sauce to reboot me for production after unexpectedly losing my production kitchen a month ago, so the pre-sales significantly help boost me back up. Thank you all so much for your support!!! I’m excited to get back to making lots of pickles for you all very soon!

Who’s ready for the 2nd Kitchen Sink fermented hot sauce?

This is a 3 week ferment of a bunch of different random super hots and no-name cross breeds, plus some figs, all locally grown here in the PNW. It will be HOT!!!

As many of you know, I lost my commercial kitchen a month ago at no fault of my own, which has unfortunately halted production for me. I’m doing everything in my power to keep The Good Pickle alive, and do not want to do a go fund me, so this hot sauce is a fund raiser for me to get back on my feet. So, my ask to you all is to please pre-order this off of my website (link in profile) and delivery will be 3 weeks from now. If you need shipping, please DM me before ordering and we can work out the details, but I would prefer local pick up, please.

I’m trying mom, I’m trying.

It’s hard to find the words to describe all the feelings I’ve gone through in this past week. It has been the hardest, saddest, most shocking week for me in the six years of making fun ferments for you all. One week ago today I learned that I had one day to remove my business and its belongings from the kitchen The Good Pickle has called home since its inception. So much GOOD has happened in that kitchen for the community. Small businesses started. Non profits started. Thousands of people fed. Community markets. So much joy!!! And now it’s gone.

I’m very thankful for all that .pdx has done for the community, and for myself, but ultimately they weren’t able to continue paying the rent and got evicted, leaving me without a facility to operate out of. Currently, everything is stuffed into my home basement and garage while I hunt for a new home for The Good Pickle.

Unfortunately this means that I am unable to produce ferments for you all right now.

So, if anyone has a space for me to operate out of temporarily, or permanently, please reach out to me.

And please bear with me as I work to stay in my magic and navigate through this transition. This isn’t goodbye!!!
