Will my tax return be ready by April 15?
With the events that have restricted our ability to get returns completed faster to-date and so many unknown factors ahead in the next few weeks as we navigate this national disaster, we

cannot guarantee that we will get every return done by April 15, even though you may have dropped off information by the March 16 drop-off deadline. Therefore, at the end of the first week in April we will assess the statuses of incomplete returns on hand and determine whether individual, business and trust tax return extensions are necessary and will update you accordingly then.

Our continued commitment to clients through technology
At considerable time spent, investment and effort, for the past several months we have trained intensely and implemented a cloud-based accounting and tax integrated software suite. As such, since January 1, 2020, we have operated in a paperless environment that facilitates remote working.

How will this technology benefit me during the disaster?
You will be able to access your online portal anytime and either upload information to us or retrieve your finished tax returns, with the convenience of not having to leave your office or home. We also installed a secure drop-box by the main entrance to our building that sends an email notification to one of our team members when used. We will empty the box daily at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. For scheduled meeting, we can do them by video conference or telephone if either is more convenient for you.

How will this technology benefit F&A team members?
We have asked our team members to work remotely indefinitely through the disaster for their own health and protection. Many of our staff are currently working from home now full-time due to illnesses and school closures caused by this disaster. Those with children or sick family members, and those who should self-isolate due to age, health issues, or possible exposure, will have the opportunity to continue to stay at home but still perform your work as their schedules permit.

What’s Ahead?
Until further notice:

Our office doors will remain closed to the general public.
No onsite meetings will be held at the office.
We will continue working full speed towards April 15.
All staff remain available by phone and will work remotely.
“Blue Folder” paper copies will be mailed when requested.
