✨The first week of January we welcomed and volunteered our time with the students from @cascobayhs at H2O Fitness Collaborative. It was such a wonderful experience! ✨ During our time we taught grades 9-12 on why it is important to take care of our mental and physical health. Also the importance of building self esteem, preventive care, post injury care, and using tools to help live a healthier and happy life. Leah and Sami from @greatblueacupuncture spoke about various conditions that they treat in the clinic. Then they did brief acupuncture treatments and tuning forks to help with nervous system support. Tyson from @beaconcommunityfitness and founder of @3levelsorg talked about the power of and approaches to healthy lifestyles. Then he took participants through a series of basic strength exercises using bodyweight and resistance bands. Holly and Heather from @h2ofitco completed a functional movement screening with students to assess for potential imbalances in their mobility and stability, and identify targeted exercises for injury prevention. ✨ #greatblueacupuncture #h2ofitco #beaconcommunityfitness #3levelsorg
