What is the IEEE Oregon Section
The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is divided into ten worldwide geographic regions. Within the regions, there are local sections, chapters, and affinity groups. Together, these units conduct over 10,000 meetings a year and enable members to network and explore their technical interests as a community.
The IEEE Oregon Section is one of the six sections in region 6 covering the western United States. The function of each Section is to coordinate activities and to support the active chapters within the covered area. Society memberships enable you to stay current within your technology profession, keep in touch with peers, and invest in your career. The active chapters in the Oregon section are:
