NEW PRODUCT! We just got these in the shop yesterday. 3/8" wide woven ribbon with bands and topstitching along the edges in an assortment of beautiful colors.

We've now been open for twenty years! Our store opened in downtown Portland in March of 1997. And this is the one that started it all!

Marvis purchased this ceramic pin, taken from a 19th-century picture button, and it sparked her interest in antique and vintage buttons, which a few years later led to them starting The Button Emporium.

The pin, and the button it was created from, represent the fable of The Fox and the Goat from Aesop's Fables, and bears the French inscription "En toute chose il faut considerer la fin," which translated into English means "In all things one must consider the end."

We have had many requests for classes and we are trying to put together a list of class ideas. Please help us brainstorm by letting us know what you would like to see in the shop. We are currently talking about button bracelets, ribbon flowers, beaded pendants, etc.
