I got super annoyed yesterday so I turned an onion, some mushrooms, and whole head of garlic into a paste and cooked them down for a few hours and then made that goop into a quiche with some zucchini and cheese. I don't usually like making doughs that require cutting butter into flour but it's not that bad with a food processor

Now that I've (mostly) given people the gifts I've been working on, I can post without ruining the surprises! This is more detail on the sleeve lace from the octopus vest. The pattern involves making a first row of crochet stitches to work into for the wavey row, then placing four stitches in the row, chaining three, slipping those three into the back of the first of the four initial stitches, then placing six stitches around the three chain stitches. This makes the perimeter of the six stitches much longer than the stitches under them, giving that wavey look. If that description makes no sense, do not sweat it, it took me a long time to understand!
