I bought my first house at 38 years young back in April in the SE Montavilla neighborhood. It was a massively stressful and overwhelming process. When I was about 16 I got my license and came to SE Portland as often as I could. I loved the record stores, coffee shops, bookstores, and music venues. I can walk to Mt. Tabor and ride my bike to work. Seems only fitting that almost 20 years later, I wind up back here. In those 20 years I’ve lived in at least 15 different rented spaces. Massive thank you to .in.pdx and for being my realtor and mortgage team, my dad .wenker for kicking my ass in the right direction with accounting and bookkeeping, and .pdx and for being my chosen family and letting me dirtbag my way into their guest room for two years. I couldn’t have done it without these people and so many more. I walked in and it felt like home. It’s so nice to have more room for woodpiles!
