Cascade Church Portland

This Sunday May 24th we will NOT be holding service at Cascade.

We haven’t cancelled a Sunday service in our nearly 11 years of being a church, so why start now?

1 - We value both activity and rest. While doing Cascade Sundays is a great joy for the staff each Sunday, there is a long term toll in having something every 7 days indefinitely. We’re interested in what a break could feel like to take a deep breath and look ahead a bit more.

2 - Creating a safe and engaging environment for all ages at Cascade relies heavily on volunteers. It is sometimes difficult getting the necessary number of volunteers on a Sunday, and that is even harder on a holiday weekend. Giving our volunteers a break and not scrambling to fill spots is a huge benefit for all involved.

If you’re still interested in engaging with the Cascade Community, you’re invited to a Park Hang at Lent’s Park from 10:30-12:00! We’ll have some folks and kids hanging out and playing and we’d love you to come if you’re free and interested!
