We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic and sudden passing of Cayle Tern earlier this week.

Cayle was a pillar of the Iu Mien and refugee communities of Portland and spent his career fighting to make sure other immigrant and refugee families had a voice in the decisions that shaped their lives. His tireless public service with APANO and the Reynolds School Board will be sorely missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Cayle’s family and loved ones. May his memory be a blessing, and may his legacy be an inspiration to us all.
