Some recent work as seen closeup. Tattoos are always difficult to photograph for me. Not just because the camera doesn’t capture the colors correctly or they are shiny (both of these are a@pain in the ass tho) but because they are on a living person. Tattoos are three dimensional. They live, breathe, and move with the body. Taking a flat picture of something that has movement on the body is impossible to convey the actual aesthetic of the work. Years ago I jokingly put “they look much better in person” on my business card, but it’s the real truth. ❤️
