HOLGATE LIBRARY…
The Holgate Library is the first new, permanent library to open in Multnomah County in more than a decade. It’s also the most energy efficient library ever built in Multnomah County. It’s a bright and modern space, built to be open and flexible for the community.
With 21,000 square feet, it’s now one of the largest libraries in Multnomah County.
The structure and interior millwork are all Douglas Fir.

One of the harder, stronger and heavier softwoods. Heartwood is russet or reddish brown; sapwood is straw brown. Usually marketed and sold as Douglas fir-Larch
Main uses: Principally as structural framing timber; when rotary cut, for veneer and plywood sheathing.
