We loved creating Iconic Magazine for our client Arciform, a leading remodeler of period homes and buildings, not only because it gave us the chance to create an elegantly entertaining online mag, but because it’s a wonderful example of marketing without marketing. To its growing audience, Iconic is a fun read, full of beautiful photos of droolingly gorgeous remodeling projects and fun stories that humanize those projects. To Arciform, Iconic is a platform to show off their beautiful design-build work without seeming like they’re selling, or even marketing. Except that they are - Iconic works as flagship for company, generating calls from prospective customers who simply love what they see and read there.

When Northwest Seismic first told us their story, we could tell that they were experts in the field of scientifically-based seismic retrofitting homes in our very seismically threatened Portland area. But we couldn’t see that in their logo, website, or collateral. We thought, it’s time to shake up a dormant brand. Which we did, first by doing qualitative Voice of the Customer research to hone our message. Then we created a brand and copy tone guide that fed into design of their new logo and look, the website, and a new presentation that we created for them. We’re proud that we were able to convey their expertise and also that we instilled a sense of urgency in their audience without resorting to fear-based tactics. NWS comes across as friendly experts - which is what they are, so we feel we did our job well.

Thank you for recognizing our work for Northwest Seismic and Iconic and for bringing together so many talented creatives to honor their work and give a focus to our immensely creative community. We're honored to be a part of it!
