Good day, my name is Fizzy and I’m ready to be your best bud -WOOF!
I’m a one year old, 47 pound Picard Shepherd, and I'm the silliest guy you’ll ever meet!
I love to prance around with my toys, give humans hugs, and do zoomies around the yard like it’s my job. But when it’s time to leash me up for a walk, I’m a chill guy ready to go for a stroll. My foster parents say I’m their favorite doggo to walk (don't tell the other guys!) as I’m pretty much unbothered in the streets...except for that occasional squirrel sighting. And all the neighbors tell me I’m a handsome son of a gun.

I’m a really sweet guy that loves people. I love pets, cuddling, and will take all the affection you'll give. And I’m a very happy-go-lucky pup. But when it comes to my toys - sure, I’m happy to share my toys with humans, but I’m not as generous with my four legged friends…the toys are all mine!
So my ideal home would be a house full of humans and toys, but no other doggos. I’m happy to meet dogs on walks, but I won’t be inviting them back home to my toy kingdom!

If you want a loyal boy that will be your forever companion, I’m your guy. If you want a doggo that’s down for an adventure at any moment, I’m your guy. We can chill at home with my toys or head out to a hiking trail. I also love neighborhood runs! I’m pretty much down for whatever as long as I get to hang with my people :)

Meet Chromia! Chromia's an affectionate, sweet, and playful chiweenie that's ready to find her forever home now that her puppies are leaving the nest. She's about 15 lbs and just a year old, and has the softest velvety coat. She is a pro at winning you over with endearing eyes and those little forehead wrinkles.

Chromia is silly, spunky, and very sweet. She loves to be close to her people, and is very cuddly, loves affection, and will whine at you for attention or to tell you she wants something. She can be a little bit of a talker like that! She'll roll on her belly for pets and wants to be a spoiled little princess! Chromia is playful whether it's playing with your fingers and gently mouthing them or chasing a ball. She is bouncy and fast! She also loves to play with toys, and tosses them in the air to pounce on. She has some cute quirks like occasionally picking up her food bowl carefully to carry it to a preferred spot to eat which is always impressive how she doesn't spill it! She likes to wiggle under the covers to sleep, and when she plays with dogs she makes funny play noises while tucking her head upside down on the ground.

She came to a California shelter heavily pregnant, and was rushed out of there as it's no place for newborn puppies. On transport she couldn't wait and gave birth to three healthy puppies. She's been the best mom to them, is always patient and loves playing with them. Now that they're grown up it's time for her new life to start, and what a joyful companion she will make for a family.

Chromia is being fostered with 3 other small dogs and enjoys their company and loves playing with them. We think she'd have a good time having a dog friend(s) that will also keep her company when you're away. She can be a little bossy with other dogs, and will let them know what her boundaries are. Now that she's moving on from motherhood, she's slowly learning how to be a good dog citizen and can be a bit nervous and shy to meet people, but is curious and very treat motivated. As soon as she knows you're safe she'll sweetly melt for pets. When she's accompanying you on running errands she stays close to you, and will look to you for support. With more encouragement that new people and dogs are friends to be made we know she'll be a confident pup soon!

The best home for Chromia would be a family with a playful confident small / medium sized dog, and a family that is loving, gentle, and will continue to support her with force-free positive training. Miss Fleur is a beautiful 2-year-old Cairn Terrier Mix who takes a little time to open-up, but once she trusts you, you’re in for life.

She is a sensitive soul looking for a patient human to show her how wonderful the world can be. Watching her take those first brave steps and wiggle her tail for you is the most rewarding feeling in the world. She loves sitting on the couch next to her people and getting soft pets. She will be your quiet shadow as you move throughout your day. She sits very still during bath time and is quickly learning how to walk on a leash. She is very treat motivated and a great eater.

Miss Fleur also comes with a solid record of zero potty accidents in her foster home. She sleeps through a long night and waits patiently for you to tell her it is time to start the day! She is able to run loose in the house while you’re away and will keep watch out your front window by sitting on whatever will get her the best view. She may be mistaken for a cat as sometimes she can be found standing in a windowsill or on a table if it affords her the best view while you are away from home but no worries she will keep your house safe until you return.

She's been attending some training classes to get comfortable in settings outside the home and we'd love for her to be able to continue classes for her and her new companion. Did we mention she loves to go for walks? It's her favorite past time!

Ideal Home: A quiet, low-traffic household (preferably adult-only or older kids) with someone who understands that good things take time. She would do well in a house or an apartment due to calm quiet nature. Having another confident dog to show her the ropes would be a huge plus but she would also be fine being the only dog. She is good with cats as she will completely ignore your feline companion. If you have a little extra patience to wait for her to open-up and a lot of love to give, Mrs. Fleur is your girl!
