This month we’re celebrating CMAG’s birthday with a special freestyle Show-and-Tell in our new meeting space, the gym!

Bring a metalwork creation and share the story behind it. Whether it’s a finished piece, a work in progress, a past commission, sketches, or process photos. Tell us what inspired the work, what challenges you encountered, what surprised you, and what you learned along the way.

No formal presentations, no pressure. Just good conversation, shared creativity, pizza, and birthday cake. After all, it’s hard to be too critical while enjoying a slice of cake! 🎂✨

Learn the basics of sand casting with instructor Stacey Hareid! 🔥

In this one-day workshop, Stacey will guide students through the complete process of sand casting a ring from start to finish. Using provided ring blanks in a variety of designs and sizes, you’ll learn how to create clean impressions, achieve successful pours, and clean up and finish your casting for a polished final piece.

Whether you’re exploring casting for the first time or looking to expand your metalsmithing skills, this class offers a solid foundation in an exciting jewelry-making technique.
