About Dave

In 2007, I resigned from an office job to pursue my dream of traveling around the world. Once free, I never looked back.

Along the way, I became a professional travel blogger, founding two influential blogs, Go Backpacking (2007) and Medellin Living (2009), and Travel Blog Success (2010), an online community for travel bloggers.

It was while living in Medellin, Colombia as an expat that I began writing more about food, from the traditional arepas con queso sold by street vendors to fine dining at El Cielo, which has been ranked one of the best restaurants in Latin America.

In 2016, I sold Medellin Living and moved to Austin, Texas. In 2017, I sold Travel Blog Success as well to further make room for new creative endeavors, the first of which is Feastio.

As a successful serial blogger and entrepreneur, I'm excited to embark on a new mission to showcase the best food in my home town, as well as from around the world.

I envision Feastio as a website readers visit to experience incredible food and drinks, while learning about new places and cultures.

Ultimately, I hope to inspire readers to expand their comfort zones when it comes to both food and travel.
