Last winter’s ice storm led to an unexpected emergency when a tree fell on a power line, causing the pole to land on our client’s home. The electrical surge was so powerful that it charged the entire house, blew out the water main, and even detached the gutters. Thankfully, no one was injured, and this event created an opportunity for some much-needed upgrades.
The home’s poorly insulated second story—converted from an attic years ago—was revamped with a new roof system and high-efficiency polyiso insulation, bringing it up to modern standards. With updated plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, this 1920s home is now ready for the 21st century, offering greater comfort and energy efficiency.
