Our Story

Where do I even begin? My late father was a great and 'polite’ delivered paparazzi in Singapore entertainment scene circa late 50s and 60s. Singapore is where my passion for photography begins. It is where I was born. Unfortunately there was little avenue for creative photography unless you like working with the local news journal and abide by their so many rules and guidelines. For practical reasons, I enrolled in a fashion design school with the hope to unleash my creative energy into something wearable and perhaps take me to stardom where my brand flashes on an international catwalk! That didn't quite go as planned but I did some fashion designing gigs for a while, enjoyed it for a little bit but something was not in line with my true passion. There was just no oomph! In all these times, I kept staring at my late father's photo album and kept fiddling with his now-vintage Nikon, and visualizing my own creative approach through the camera lens. As tears rolled down my cheek reminiscing his glory years I realized this is what I truly want to do. : To carry on his passion and to fire up my own passion in visual arts. I was on fire from then on! I enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography because I believe everyone should get a formal education even they are already fabulous in their arts. Life is a learning journey. What I learned in photography? I learned that indeed, a picture speaks a thousand words and it can bring such emotion and everlasting visual journey of time so delicately put in prints and heart. I also learned the sheer and simple delight it brings me and the wonderful people I had the opportunity to spend my time with.
