From Preble Street! Thank you to the Goth Community of Maine and beyond! A great way to send off PLAGUE. 🖤

It's taken a few days for me to come up for air, but I just want to say thank you! The Final PLAGUE couldn't have been better! I'm so grateful to see so many of your lovely faces and hear such kind words from those there in spirit! It truly couldn't have been a better night!

Thank you to everyone who came out and donated to Preble Street! The numbers are still coming in, but so far we raised over $1000! Thank you for helping those facing housing insecurity challenges!

I'd love to thank everyone individually for all the great years, but there are too many of you and I'd hate to miss anyone! Here's a very incomplete list of some memories from Plague:

We started out by lugging huge speakers into a tiny bar on Fore Street and hosted DJ lessons in my living room. We were then invited to the Asylum's downstairs room, complete with a crammed DJ booth, a woefully under-appreciated bartender, and snowstorms every Friday night… But with dedicated friends who would open the doors anyway! Aura’s beautiful renovation of the was the start of a new chapter, as was the change to monthly nights as the Covid lockdown eased. To top it off, having the Halloween Goth Ball in the upstairs room was a dream realized! Thank you to everyone who linked us from Zootz and Manray and Ceremony and Aura and everything in between!

I can only scratch the surface of all the wonderful times we've had together! Thank you for dancing with me, and being a part of this community. It's been my hope to create a space where you can be your spooky-self… Whatever that is!

I hope you will welcome the next chapter of the night, The Casket! Starting Friday, January 30th there will be a birthday party for the new night! I look forward to seeing what this new era will bring!

And what about me? Despite your best hopes, I'll still be around. I'm hoping to host a series of one-off events focused on all-ages events. Goths Go Snow Tubing, Goths Go Apple Picking, Gothquaboggan, you get the idea... And if you'd like to host an event, I'd be happy to try to get you off the ground. More spooky things to do in Maine and New England? Sounds amazing to me!

The Final PLAGUE - a Benefit for Preble Street

Friday, December 19th

After about 20ish years, it's time to say goodbye to PLAGUE! Starting in January, PLAGUE will be The Casket!

Amy Black, the main organizer, is retiring and would love to have one last dance with you!
DJs Gabriell and Daddy spin goth/industrial/dark music! Together they represent the longest running and newest DJs to spin at PLAGUE!

All proceeds from the night will go to Preble Street to aid the unhoused!
