Promoting Waterfowl Hunting in Oregon You don't need to be a member to stop by a meeting.

Besides serving as President of the Oregon Duck Hunters Association, Graig Spolek is also Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Portland State University. In that capacity, he studied the ballistics of shotgun charges as they travel down range from the muzzle when shot.
The objective of shooting, of course, is to put as many pellets around the target as possible with sufficient energy to kill the duck. He found himself dismayed that ammunition manufacturers, in their zeal to attract customers, advertised misleading claims. In his presentation, Spolek will explain what really happens when you pull the trigger. Armed with this valuable information you can avoid the hype and make sound decisions about which shot shells to use.
This Meeting of the Oregon Duck Hunter's Association is October 9th and will begin with a social hour at 6:00 pm. Dinner, club business and the evening's speaker will follow at 7:00. Plan to meet with us at the Colwood Golf Course's banquet room, 7313 NE Columbia Blvd in Portland Oregon. Dinners are still just $20.00 and include a desert!
